Strategic Account Manager

KEY Apparel is searching for a Strategic Account Manager to identify and develop new strategic business relationships with potential retail and industrial customers, while continuing to develop and grow business with existing strategic customers. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives. The Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.  

Successful Candidate Attributes:

The successful candidate should be professional and articulate, have positive energy, an ability to identify new opportunities, have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail, must be proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel, have an ability to form partnerships with business partners, outside sales representatives and other key resources in an assigned territory and must be able to effectively use independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. A minimum of three years sales experience is preferred and the successful candidate will need to be located in or able to commute daily to either Fort Scott, KS or Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Develop and implement sales plans that support increased sales and attain profitability goals;
  • Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations;
  • Facilitate cross‐selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate the market;
  • Facilitate regular meetings with clients and relevant operations staff to evaluate performance and receive updates from clients on challenges and future plans;
  • Interact with customers to solve problems;
  • Achieve forecasted business development plans by generating new business at existing and new accounts;
  • Attend industry events (conferences and trade shows) to enhance sales and marketing efforts;
  • Utilize superior communications skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives and clients;
