Position: Embellishment / Screen Print Operator

KEY Apparel is a clothing company located in Fort Scott, Kansas. KEY is searching for a motivated person to join our embellishment team. The position will entail working with screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer and direct-to-garment embellishment equipment and processes. This position is responsible for embellishing shirts, uniforms, hats, outerwear, and accessories.
Successful Candidate Attributes:
The successful candidate should be professional and articulate, have positive energy, have good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and must be able to effectively use independent judgement to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Running the press efficiently.
- Inspecting garments to ensure that quality and production standards have been met.
- Correctly and efficiently setting up screens for proper print order and registration.
- Accurately reading work orders.
- Assist with setting up / breaking down press.
- Other duties may be asked of you.
- Communicate with team manager to reorder materials and supplies.
- Assist with facility cleaning.
- Cooperate and share information with team members.
- Continuously educate yourself.
- Be curious.
Pre-requisite Core Competencies:
- Capable of following established designs and specifications.
- Willingness to learn and be flexible.
- Strong Work Ethic.
- Proven attention to detail.
- Self-starter with willingness to do whatever is necessary to support the team.
- Demonstrated good judgement and a high degree of integrity.
Prior screen-printing experience is preferred, but not required. With a positive attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn, KEY will teach the required skills.
