    duck overalls

good fabric and quality in construction , but a few details need to be fixed, 1. the fly is to small and the zipper tab is tiny, almost imposable to use when your hands are cold. next is the size of the right leg tool pocket, it cant hold a cell phone it needs to be bigger

    Made the switch to Key

Posted by Gaberiel Keway on Oct 8th 2022

I have worn unlined bibs from that other popular company for decades. Typically after I wear out a pair I simply run down to the farm store and buy a new pair however, this year it seems the other company discontinued my favorite style and I was unable to find unlined of their new style in my size. So I decided to try a different brand and figured I would give KEY a shot. My initial reaction is that these are a much darker color than I prefer. The lighter tan of the other company's duck bibs allow for quick visual inspection of grease, oil and ticks that inevitably find their way onto me and sometimes gets transferred to my truck seat. Also, I am skeptical of the durability based on the softness of KEY's duck material compared to the other brand but time will tell. I am 6'-0" and 220lbs. I ordered my standard size overall, 40x30. Fitting seems on par in the waist with the other company though, the inseam is a bit too long. I like my overall legs a bit short to stay out of the mud. I feel like the bib portion is a bit "flappy" on the edges like they could have trimmed an inch from each side. Surely, the softness of the material only makes the flappiness more obvious. I do like the partial zip leg with the snap and soft zipper handle and I kinda wish they would have used the soft zipper handle on the bib too, instead of the metal zipper handle that jingle-jangles while you work. The open pocket on the bib fits my apple phone with case quite snugly and I hope that stays snug after use. Staps are comfortable and just right size at maximum length. I like the little covered pocket and I hope the velcro lasts. I probably would have liked to see a snap instead. I also like the center pen pocket though it is a bit short. I typically like a pen pocket long enough to meet the pen clip. But it may work okay with a well used carpenter pencil. "Hammer loop" on left leg seems okay but notice there isn't a welding rod pocket below it, which is standard for the other brand. Dual pocket on right is there though. There's little "change pocket" on the right hip pocket which may be handy for a pocket knife or, of course, coinage and I just noticed there is actually a little "knife loop" on the right hip anyways. Other than that, the build quality seems great; triple stitch side seams, double knees, metal zippers, metal shoulder clasps and metal adjusters, metal snaps. Duck bibs usually last me one year. Today is Oct 7, 2022 I will try to update my review in about a year. Giving 5 stars since there is nothing obviously "bad" about them, just different than I am used to from that other popular brand.

    Pockets

Instead of the zippered pocket, just make the chest pockets like you do on your jean bibs. and the zippers on the legs are not necessary seeing most people , wear them like your denim bibs.

Well built bibs with the right leg length to not drag in the mud. My new favorites.

    Unlined Bibs

Posted by Stephen on Jan 27th 2022

Seem to be a well made product. Replacing Carharts because the new design has changed and not a big fan of it. However it seems that all bibs from any company are following the same pattern although the pockets on these bibs are fine and deep enough. Also do not care for Carhart getting rid of unvaccinated employees so they have lost my business for good. Keys seem to be an american company although the bibs are made in China. Good quality though and good value for the price.
